Cynthia L. "Cindy" Conidi, 52, of Dover died unexpectedly in her sleep Friday, September 3, 2010 at her home.
Cindy was a secretary for the Tuscarawas County Developmental Disabilities for twenty four years. She was a real "people person" and quickly became a friend to anyone she met.
Born February 4, 1958 in Dover, she was the daughter of Joseph "Whiz" and Cherie (Bevan) Conidi of Dover.
She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover where she served as a greeter. She was also a volunteer for the Tuscarawas County American Italian Festival for many years. A 1977 graduate of Dover High School, she was honored as first in her class in special education.
In addition to her parents, Cindy is survived by four brothers, Frank (wife, Phyllis) Conidi and Joe (wife, Jeanie) Conidi both of Dover, Chris Conidi of Canton and Tom (wife, Beth) Conidi of Coshocton; she was also loved by her nieces and nephews, Patrick Conidi, Mike and Mark (wife, Heather) Burnworth, Matthew, Joe, Hillary, Kelly, Brianne (husband, Shane) Ward, Andrew, Kaitlin, and Nathan Conidi; great nieces and nephews, Sydney, Emily, Alyssa, Ryan and Jason; eight aunts and uncles, Betty and Tony Ginnetti of Dover, Paul & Beth Bevan of Oklahoma, Bill Bevan, Jerry & Barb Bevan, Bob & Betty Bevan, Ron & Ginny Bevan all of New Philadelphia, Jill Clark of Canton and Pat Powell of Dover along with numerous cousins.
Cindy was preceded in death by a great niece Ashton Conidi and her grandparents, Frank and Marguerite Conidi and William and Dorothy Bevan.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30am in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. Matthew Hoover and Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover on Monday from 5-8pm.
