Dale A. Hostetler

Dale A. Hostetler, 45, of Strasburg, Ohio died unexpectedly, Monday, May 28, 2001 in his home.

He owned and operated Syl Hostetler Custom Homes since 1979 which was founded by his father.

Born August 16, 1955 in Dover, Ohio, he was the son of the late Sylvanus M. and Barbara Hershberger Hostetler.

Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia. He was a former member of the Tuscarawas County Homebuilders. He served on the board of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Canton and enjoyed golfing and camping. He was the Strasburg-Franklin Junior High School Girls Basketball coach.

He is survived by his wife Marcia Troyer Hostetler with whom he would have celebrated 25 years of marriage on July 17.

He is also survived by three daughters Krista, Kaley, and Kerri Hostetler all of Strasburg.
Two sisters Susanna (John J.) Strauss and Rosanna Hostetler and her fiancé Les Yoder both of Strasburg and his brother, Daniel (Michelle) Hostetler of Strasburg.

Father in law and mother in law Henry and Anna Troyer of Strasburg; maternal grandmother, Sarah Hershberger of Mt. Hope and paternal grandmother, Mabel Hostetler of Sugarcreek and nieces and nephews, Tara and John Strauss; Wes, Bart, and Britton Hostetler; Austin and Landry Hostetler all of Strasburg.

Dale was preceded in death by one son.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 1, 2001 at 11:00 am in the First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia with Rev. Mark Trotter officiating. A private interment will be held in the Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. Friends may call at the church Thursday anytime after 2 pm with the family present from 2-4 & 7-9pm. and Friday from 10-11 am.
