Dale A. Short

Dale A. Short, 75, of Dover, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover.

Born on September 11, 1936, in Dover, he was the son of the late William F. and Mildred Gillette Short.

On October 7, 1969, Dale married the love of his life, Barbara Weller. Dale was the founder of SEA (Society for Equal Access). He also volunteered for many years at the Salvation Army and was a member of the Dover Eagles and the New Philadelphia VFW Auxiliary.

In addition to his wife, Barb, he is survived by his son; Larry (Janice) Short of Dennison; brother, Wayne (Mary Ann) Short of Dover; along with three grandchildren, Nicole, Carrie, and Austin.

In honoring Dale's wishes, cremation will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. There will be no calling hours or services.
