Dale And Judy Penrod

Dale E. Penrod, 69, passed away on May 8, 2021, and Judy K. Penrod, 67, passed away on May 20, 2021, both of Dover at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.

Dale was born on May 3, 1952, in Dover. He was the son of the late Arthur and Agnes (Bleininger) Penrod. He was a 1971 graduate of Dover High School. Dale was a retired Coal Miner. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his garage in his spare time.

Judy was born on August 5, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elsie (Wallick) Sommers. She graduated from Dover High School with the class of 1971. Judy was a home health aide throughout the community for many years. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Dale and Judy were married on May 15, 1981. Where you would see one, the other was always nearby. Together they had three children; Sonya (Paul) Cooper of Bolivar, Heather (Randy) Miller of Dover, and Jamison (Josh) Keyton-Penrod of Canton.

In addition to their three children; they will be sadly missed by their grandchildren; Tre, Tiffini, Markiesha, Carson, Jackson, Gibson, and Klayah; great-granddaughter, Henleigh; and they were anxiously awaiting another great-grandchild; along with seven step-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; Dale’s sisters, Charlotte May and Sally Hagey; Judy’s sister, Doris Maurer; and many nieces and nephews.

They loved spending time with their grandchildren and enjoyed following school events and softball games.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory in Dover on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 5-7pm. A celebration of their lives will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 11:00 am with Pastor Terry Passmore officiating. Judy and Dale will be buried at Dover Burial Park. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family asks that everyone who attends wear a mask.
