Dale E. Martin

Dale E. Martin, 69, of Dover died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Union Hospital.

He retired from AK Steel in Dover after 33 years of service.

Born July 14, 1939 in Ragersville he was the son of Twila Lang Brindley of Dover.

Dale was an active member of the Dover Baptist Temple and in his spare time he enjoyed being with his family, hunting and fishing. He was also an Air Force veteran.

In addition to his mother, Dale is also survived by his wife, Dorothy Donathan Martin with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on November 20, 2008; two sons, Jamin (Martha) Martin of Uhrichsville and Terry Martin of Dover; daughter, Susan (Kevin) Runyon of Dover; four grandchildren, Kyle Martin, Amber Beachy, Cody and Brandon Runyon.

Dale was preceded in death by his stepfather, Roy Brindley.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 1:00 pm in the Dover Baptist Temple with Rev. Christopher Rhodes officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the church one-hour prior to the service on Friday. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover will be handling arrangements.
