Dalton R. "Red" Stalder

Dalton R. "Red" Stalder, 89, of Dover died Monday, July 26, 2010 in the Park Village Health Care Center.

He had retired from the Standard Oil Co. after many years of service.

Born June 3, 1921 in Dover he was a son of the late John W. and Emma J. Hanni Stalder. Red was also preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Stalder, who died on May 15, 1993; sister, Alverna Mutschelknaus and brother, Russell Stalder.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover and the Dover Lions Club. Red also proudly served our country in the Army Air Corps during WWII.

Red will be sadly missed by his children, John (Ellen) Stalder of Dover, Art (Gwenny) Kovesci of East Sparta and Marilyn Presutti of North Canton; sister, Marge Vargo of Canton; grandchildren, Christopher, Kim, Kathy, Tom, Kevin, Tim and Lori; great grandchildren, Ben, Brian, Becky, Tom, Renee, Will, Andy, Dan, Easton and Cassidy; great-great grandchildren, Cayden and Jaxon.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Ed Shriver officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
