Daniel Roy "Dan" Callen

Daniel Roy “Dan” Callen, 57, of New Philadelphia passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia.

Born on October 9, 1961, in Barberton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Olive (Gibson) Callen. Dan was also preceded in death by his brothers, Harvey and John Callen, and his sister, Dorothy Boofer. He graduated from New Philadelphia High School and later received his associate's degree from ITT Tech while he lived in Florida. He worked for several roofing companies.

Dan will be sadly missed by his companion of 15 years, Tina Biclawski of New Philadelphia; brothers, Louis (Diane) Callen of Canton, Bill (Caroline) Callen of Oklahoma, Larry Callen of New Philadelphia; sisters, Edna (Tom) McNellis of Barberton, Beatrice Thompson of Oklahoma, Darlene (John) Jones of Florida, Ruth (Jon) Kovacs of Louisiana; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. A memorial service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at 2 pm with Pastor David Burden officiating. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
