Danny R. Browning, 64, of New Philadelphia passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at his home.
Born on February 11, 1956, in Bristol, Virginia, he was the son of the late Charlie and Georgia (Simons) Browning. He was also preceded in death by his sister; Peggy Geiger; and three brothers, Roger, Jeff, and John Browning; his brother-in-law, Edward Rector; and his sister-in-law, Vicki Troyer.
He graduated from Tennessee High School. He honorably served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a talented carpenter for many years.
Danny was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in Tennessee. He enjoyed reading and loved hiking and searching for Indian artifacts.
He is survived by his wife, Julia (Troyer) Browning, whom he married on February 18, 2005; his daughter, Amber (Mike) Harman of Bristol, Tennessee; step-son, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Troyer of North Carolina; three sisters, Betty (Ned) McGlothlin of Tennessee, Nancy (Ron) Rose of Virginia, and Brenda (Curt) Davis of Tennessee; five grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Verena Garber of Dennison and Frances Rector of New Philadelphia; along with his brother-in-law, Marlin (Karen) Troyer of Uniontown.
