David H. Judy, 91, of Beach City died at Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
Born in Dover on March 2, 1925 he was the son of the late Carl and Marie (Arbogast) Judy. He graduated from Dover High School. On July 14, 1945 he married Donna Judy who preceded him in death on June 5, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers; Paul, George, and Johnny Judy; son in-law, Paul Slayman; and his sister in-law, Marilyn Judy.
David honorably served our country during World War II in the United States Navy. He retired from the Timken Company following 17 years of service.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Beach City along with the Masonic Lodge in Dover.
David will be sadly missed by his three daughters; Michal (Walter) Forney of Navarre, Jean M. Slayman of Charleston, SC, and Kristine (John) Lashbrook of Stonewall, OK; son, Bradley (Judy) Judy of New Philadelphia, Ohio; two brothers, Dan (Evelyn) Judy of Dover and Byron Judy of Twinsburg; along with nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of David's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:30 am with Rev Donald Rice Jr. officiating. Interment will take place beside Donna at Dover Burial Park where the Dover VFW will conduct military honors. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 2-4pm.
