David L. Peters

David L. Peters, 48, of 4571 Refugee Rd., Baltimore, Ohio and a former Dover resident died Wednesday, June 14, 2000 in his home.

He was a Sales Engineer for Klockner-Moeller in Houston, Texas until illness forced his retirement in Sept. 1999. He also was a former employee of the Bussman Fuse Company for fourteen years. He had previously been a tour guide with the Warther Museum for many years.

Born February 18, 1952 in Alliance, Ohio, he was the son of Donald W. and Cindy Antram Peters of Dover.

Dave was a 1970 graduate of Dover High School. He was a member of the Pickerington Church of Christ in Baltimore, Charter member of the Lexington Elks Lodge and member of the National Elks Foundation. He was an avid toy train collector and member of the Toy Train Collectors Assn. He was also formerly involved in the Boy Scout program. He was also a certified scuba diver.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Joyce Hixenbaugh Peters with whom he would have celebrated 29 years of marriage on Dec. 4.

He is also survived by his son, Eric D. Peters of Columbus, Indiana

One Sister Patty Peters of Delaware, Ohio
And his father and mother in law Ray and Dorothy Hixenbaugh of Dover.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Kenard Parrott and Jerry Huggins officiating. At his request, cremation will follow services. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM with Elks Services at 6:45 PM.
