Dean H. "Hootenanny" Young

Dean H. "Hootenanny" Young, 77, of Dover died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Union Hospital.

Born March 16, 1936 in Beach City he was a son of the late Harold and Clara Baker Young. Dean was also preceded in death by his son, Terry Young.

Dean had been a Truck Driver for over 60 years working for many different companies in the area and retiring in 2008 from Owens Trucking in Navarre. He was an outgoing man who loved his family and possessed the "gift of gab". In his spare time, Dean enjoyed going to the fair and watching Tractor Pulls and Sulky races.

A wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather, Dean will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 46 years, Rosalie DeVault Young; daughter, Heather (Tom) Moyer of Sherrodsville; sons, Rick (Frieda) Young and Todd Young both of Dover; step daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Swisher of New Philadelphia; sisters, Matilda "Tillie" (James) Breitenstein of Dover and Phyllis (Tim) Cope of Dalton; four grandchildren, one step granddaughter and five great grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There will be no services or calling hours. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Dean may do so by visiting the on line obituaries and flowers link on the funeral homes website.
