Deborah Kay Walker, age 57, of Strasburg, died Thursday, August 22, 2013, in her home following a long illness.
Born April 3, 1956 at Dover, she was a daughter of Homer Wayne (Oveda) Harding of New Philadelphia and Edna Bloom Harding Vierheller both of New Philadelphia. Deborah attended school at New Philadelphia and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family, caring for her grandchildren as well as the several dogs she owned over the years.
Survivors include her former husband, Randy Walker, Sr. of Strasburg; her daughter, Edna Irene (Joe) Konkle of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; her son, Randy (Tanya) Walker, Jr. of Strasburg; her seven grandchildren, Samantha Konkle, Cody, Jessica and Alex Mahaffey, Kaylee and Hunter Walker, and Bari Konkle; her two sisters, Sally Ross and Diane (Mike) McMurray, both of New Philadelphia; her two brothers, John Harding of Uhrichsville, and Tom Harding, Sr. of New Philadelphia; her many nieces and nephews; and her little dog, Isabel.
Family and friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Sunday, August 25, 2 5 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 26, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Don Snow of Calvary Baptist Church, New Philadelphia officiating.
