Dennis B. Schreffler

Dennis B. Schreffler, 61, of New Philadelphia died suddenly on July 13, 2004 at Union Hospital.

He retired from Republic Steel after 33 years of service.

Born July 2, 1943 in Canton, Ohio he was a son of the late Harold and Minnie Bishop Schreffler Sr.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in New Philadelphia. Dennis loved everything about cars, especially restoring antique cars and NASCAR. He was also an avid fan of pro wrestling. In his spare time he enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his wife Doris Alexander Schreffler with whom he celebrated 36 years of marriage on March 31, 2004.

He is also survived by two daughters, Carol Schreffler of New Philadelphia and Denise Schreffler of Dover; six grandchildren, Kea, Karizma, Braxton, Tysha, Beyonce�(TM) and Ajia; three sisters, Shirley (Bob) Fagan of Mesa, Arizona, Carol (Dick) Rabel of Navarre and Jane (Joe) Kelley of New Philadelphia; brother, Harold (Karen) Schreffler Jr. of Bolivar; sister-in-law, Willa Schreffler of East Canton.

He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Clarence “Bud”, Dale, Kenneth, Gary and Glenn Schreffler; one sister, Marjorie Schreffler.

A funeral service celebrating Dennis�(TM) life will be held on Friday, July 16, 2004 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at New Philadelphia with Rev. Donald Snow officiating. Interment will be in the East Avenue Cemetery. Following the burial a reception will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
