Dennis M. "Denny" Casady, 64, of Dover died suddenly on Friday, May 29, 2015 following a work related accident.
Born June 10, 1950 in Dover he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth Sue Andrews Casady. Denny was also preceded in death by his wife, Peg Casady on November 27, 1996; three brothers, Paul, Mark and Robert Casady.
Denny was employed at Allstate Peterbilt of New Philadelphia where he was a Body Shop Technician with 18 years of service. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover where he served on the cemetery, festival, family life and the bereavement committees, as well as, being an usher. He was also a member of the K of C and the Tornado Club. Denny was a strong family man who was always there with a helping hand. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. In his spare time, Denny enjoyed riding his Harley, cake decorating, bowling, gardening, fishing, collecting toy trains, going to Limby's in Dover, and visiting Taggarts in Magnolia for ice cream.
Denny is survived by his daughters, Laura (Christopher) Eberly and Rachel (Andy) Gibson both of Bolivar; step daughter, Kathy (Scott) Willis of Strasburg; sisters, Francy Casady of South Carolina, Pam Casady of Dover and four grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 4 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Wednesday from 5-8 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 7:45.
