Dennis P. Johnson

Dennis P. "DJ" Johnson, 56, of Dover passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at his home following a short battle with cancer.



Born on May 25, 1960 in Dover, he was the son of the late Gerald "Jerry" Johnson and Georgia (Philabaum) Manning. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and John Johnson.



He attended Dover High School. He was the owner of Dj's Drywall and also was a Disc Jockey for many years. He enjoyed old cars and was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW and the AMVETS.



DJ is survived by his wife, Nancy (Devney) Johnson, whom he married on June 25, 1983 along with his children; Jamie Johnson of Dover, Thomas Johnson of Mingo Junction, Matthew Johnson of Dover, and Ramanda Johnson of Dover; two grandchildren, Aili and Amie Stine both of Dover; a sister, Darlynn (Mike) Hickman of New Philadelphia, two half-sister, Honey Walker and Corinna Johnson Anderson, three half-brothers, Russell and Alvin Manning, and Mark Johnson; along with a sister in-law, Carol Johnson.
