Dessel L. Barron, 81, of Dover, Ohio died Tuesday, October 30, 2001 in her home following a sudden illness.
Dessel was a former housekeeping employee at the Morning View Care Center in New Philadelphia where she worked for 13 years.
Born July 12, 1920 in Wirt County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Oleta Culver McCoy.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Barron who died April 20, 1966.
She is survived by three daughters Rosalie Davis of Bolivar; Barbara Hodkinson of Kaleen, Texas and Katherine Goney of Sparta, Tennessee.
Two sons Tommy Barron of Gnadenhutten and Roger Barron of Dover
Three sisters Delsie Kaiser of Strasburg, Pearl Menefee of Port Washington and Delores Sparks of Dundee along with eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Barron, one brother, Delbert McCoy, and one sister, Delma Horrisberger.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. David Wing officiating. Interment will be in the East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 pm.
