Diana L. Meese

Diana L. Meese, 55, of Massillon died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She had retried from Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority after 15 years of service. Diana had also obtained her Realtors License and worked for Royal Estate Management.

Born April 20, 1954 in Dover, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Gayle McMurray and Mona Hess Root. Diana's stepfather, Clinton Root and her nephew, Jeffrey Mann also preceded her in death.

Diana was a 1972 graduate of Strasburg High School and had also been a foster parent for 10 years.

Diana is survived by her daughter, Teressa (husband, Todd) Conlan of Holland, Ohio; son, Matthew Meeks; her companion of 21 years, William Miller; brothers, Michael (wife, Diana) McMurray of Dover, Tim (wife, Kim) McMurray of New Philadelphia and Mark (wife, Heather) Root of Dover; sisters, Debbie (husband, Henry) Darrow of Ft. Plain, New York, Kathy McMurray of Strasburg and Nancy (husband, Todd) Varnes of Dover; 15 nieces and nephews and 28 great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Maryla Meagher officiating. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Cremation will be handled through the care of the Toland-Herzig Crematory.
