Diane K. Guedel

Diane K. Guedel, 70, of Baltic, and formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 following a brief battle with cancer.

Born on August 27, 1951 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Thomas Schilling and Florence Renner Schilling Trustdorf. Diane was also preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Sue Russell; sister, Susan Thornsley; and brother, Tommy Schilling. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Les Guedel whom she married on January 12, 1975; sons, Eric and David Guedel both of Baltic; sister, Patty (Tom) Wilt of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Bobby and Maxx Russell.

She and Les lived in many different states throughout their marriage, starting in Ohio, then New Jersey, Colorado, Michigan and finally back to Ohio. At each stop Diane became a Nanny, taking care of children in the area. She loved being a wife and mother, spending time with her family was a blessing for her; she also enjoyed baking, cooking and decorating her home for the holiday season.
