Dolores M. Barrows

Dolores M. Barrows, 81, a former resident of Mineral City as well as Brooklyn, Ohio, was promoted to Glory on June 27, 2004.

She retired in 1979 having worked as a book keeper.

Born September 28, 1922 at Highridge, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late David J. & Julia Lucas Clifford.

Dolores was an active, longtime member of the Salvation Army Corp at Dover. She had also been a member of the Eastern Star Faith Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Barrows who passed away in 1981.

Survivors include: Clifford J. (Roberta) Barrows of New Plymouth, Ohio and Walter (Linda) Barrows of Mt. Prospect, IL; a daughter Carole (John) Orosz of Medina; sister, Doris Hathorn and brother, Lance Clifford both of Bellaire; six grandchildren, Jesse Barrows, Heather Casola, Tanya Barrows, Melissa Barrows, Lisa Evans and Andrew Barrows; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores was preceded in death by: nine siblings, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. in the Salvation Army Citadel, Public Square, Dover. Major John Purdell, Major Loraine Fleming and Captain Brent Carlson will officiate. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
