Donald D. Linerode

Donald D. Linerode, 62 devoted husband, father and grandfather - 'PAPA' died Thursday, August 12, 1999 at his home in Bolivar after a courageous battle with cancer.

He retired from Lukens Steel in Massillon after 43 years of service. Throughout his life, he also enjoyed working his farm.

Born January 31, 1937 in Bolivar he was a son of the late Oscar and Violet Ashworth Linerode.

He was an Air Force Veteran.

Donald is survived by his wife Carol Baumann  Linerode with whom he celebrated 39 years of marriage on May 21, 1999.

He is also survived by three daughters:  Debbie and Bruce Durbin

                                                                 Denise Jesse

Son:  Bill and Beth Linerode all of Strasburg

Seven grandchildren:  Marissa, Michael and Matthew Durbin
                                    Andrew and Stephanie Schuster
                                    Aimee Jesse
                                    Joshua Linerode

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son Donald D. Linerode Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 1999 at 2:00 pm in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating.  Friends may  call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Strasburg on Monday from 7-9 pm.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the Aultman Cancer Center and to Hospice of Tuscarawas County and asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice.
