Donald F. Hardy Sr.

Donald F. Hardy Sr., 78, of Dover died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.

He retired in 1989 from Superior Dairy in Canton after 17 years of service.

Born July 19, 1924 in Tompson 2, Pennsylvania he was a son of the late Walter S. and Florence Cale Hardy.

He was an Army veteran of WW II and a member of the VFW Post 5567 in Bobtown, PA.

Donald is survived by his wife Susan Oliverio Hardy with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage on November 20, 2002.

He is also survived by a daughter: Bridget (Paul) Finlayson of Dover.

Two sons: Richard (Cheri) Hardy of New Philadelphia
Donald (Donna) Hardy Jr. of Bexley, Ohio

Six grandchildren: Michael, Brian, Kathryn, Diana, Laura and Dylan

Sister: Grace Davidson of Bobtown, PA

He was also preceded in death by a sister and nine brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Dover where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Friends can call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 pm.
