Loving husband, father and grandfather, Donald Gene Class, 74, of Dover, died Father�(TM)s Day, Sunday, June 15, 2003 in Union Hospital.
Born September 21, 1928 at Strasburg, he was the son of the late John and Carrie King Class, Sr.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Freda, whom he wed on October 25, 1952.
Other survivors include: a son; Bruce Class of New Philadelphia, a daughter; Kim (Mark) Class-Pringle of Dover, four granddaughters; Courtney, Lindsay and Correy Class and Paige (Adam) Grimm, a grandson; Matthew Lengler, a brother; John Class, Jr. of New Philadelphia and sister; June Lucille Burkholder of Ben Wheeler, TX. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister.
A 1947 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Don always looked forward to his class reunions & outings and was fond of his friends from his “Tuesday Coffee Clatch” that met monthly. He enjoyed tending to his rose garden, and especially loved the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Don was a Navy veteran who served his country from 1950-1954.
He was a retired plumber and pipe-fitter who had been affiliated with Local 495 of Cambridge.
In keeping with Don�(TM)s wishes, there are no calling hours. A public graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 18, at 1:00 p.m. in the Dover Burial Park with Pastor Don Campbell officiating.
