Donald L. Simmers, 65, of Mineral City died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Park Village Health Care Center.
Born December 24, 1943 in Dover he was a son of Katherine Reardon Simmers of Dover.
He had retired from Morse Tools in Canton, and was the owner of Don's Small Engine Repair.
In his spare time Don enjoyed playing Bingo. He was also a Navy Veteran.
In addition to his mother, Don is also survived by three sisters, Katie McEaneney of Dover, Emma Simmers of Dover and Grace (husband, Chuck) Long of Strasburg; brother, Ronald (wife, Cenie) Simmers of Canton and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Douglass, niece, Lonnie Douglass and brother in law, Charles McEaneney.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 1:30 pm in the New Cumberland Cemetery with Rev. William Waltz officiating. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover on Monday from 12 pm to 1:00 pm.
