Donald J. Schrump

Donald J. Schrump, 42, of Canton, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at his home in Canton. He was born on May 6, 1981, in Massillon and was a son of Deana Schrump of New Philadelphia.

 Don was the owner of Superior Outdoor Solutions in Canton for the past 12 years. His dedication and hard work made a significant impact on the local community. His commitment to excellence was admired by all who knew him. Don's educational journey began at Dover High School, where he graduated in 1999. He went on to pursue higher education and received his bachelor's degree from Walsh University. In addition to being a thriving businessman, Don was known for his outgoing personality and sociability. He had a vibrant presence that brought joy to those around him. Whether it was engaging in light-hearted conversations or cracking jokes, Don had an incredible ability to bring smiles to people's faces.  One of Don's great passions in life was watching football, particularly supporting his favorite team, the Cleveland Browns. Apart from sports events, he also enjoyed attending concerts, playing darts and engaging in board games such as Aggravation were among his favorite pastimes.

 He leaves behind a loving legacy carried forward by his children: Lukas (Melody) Schrump of Sherrodsville, Mason Schrump of Navarre, Cameron Perez of Florida, and Guinevere Schrump of Navarre. Donald's brother Joshua Laughlin of New Philadelphia and his beloved grandson, Bentley Schrump also survive him.

 Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover.  A service celebrating Don's life will be held on Tuesday, February 6th starting at 7:00 pm at the Dover funeral home with Rev. David Wing officiating.  The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
