Donna A. Judy

Donna A. Judy, 79, of Beach City, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in her home, following a long illness.

Born, November 6, 1927, in Strasburg, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Eda Lanzer Maurer. Donna moved with her family at a young age to Dover where she attended school, graduating from Dover High School in 1945. She married David Judy on July 14, 1945, in the Lutheran parsonage at Dover. Donna was a loving homemaker, who very much enjoyed time spent with her family. Additionally, Donna liked to read and she was a Cleveland Indians fan. She was a former employee of Cosmo Plastics in Wilmot.

Survivors include her husband, David; three daughters, Michal (husband, Walter) Forney of Navarre, Jean M. Slayman of Strasburg, and Kristine (husband, John) Lashbrook of Stonewall, OK; a son, Bradley D. (wife, Judy) Judy of New Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (husband, Jim) Thomas of Canton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor David Craig officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a meal in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
