Donna D. Slocum, 67, of 648 Front St., S.W., New Philadelphia, Ohio died Thursday, September 12, 2002 at Aultman Hospital following an extended illness.
She was a former Day Care Provider.
Born March 14, 1935 in East Sparta, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Bertha Bell Sullivan.
Donna attended the Church of the Living God in New Philadelphia. She was also a member of the Dover Army Navy Club. She enjoyed singing country music and loved to read. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid animal lover.
Donna is survived by five children; Debra Lorenz, Roberta Slocum, Barbara Hudnall, Robert and Edward Slocum all of New Philadelphia. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; Angela Kopp, Jeremy Conway, Tiffany Weaver, Chad Hudnall, Robbie Slocum, John Snider, Tammy Snider, Robert Slocum, and Jessica and Jennifer Bridgeman. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers including Robert “Tex” Sullivan of New Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Due to extensive remodeling at the New Philadelphia funeral home, funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 pm.
