Donna Hennis Wallick Welsch Andrews, age 90, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 27, 1930, in Old Zoarville, she was a daughter of the late Stewart B. and Catherine Bell Hennis. Donna attended school in Bolivar, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who especially enjoyed family get-togethers. She attended the Union Hill United Methodist Church in Sugarcreek, and was a life member of the Dover Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of which she served as vice president. Additionally, she was a former member of the Dover Women of the Moose. Among Donna’s favorite pastimes were sewing, crocheting and making lap blankets. Donna liked playing the Ohio lottery, dice games - especially Yahtzee, and she collected cookbooks, bells and other knick-knacks.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Victoria Jean (Otto) Polilli Jr. of Dover, Diane Jane (Tyrone) Beem of Tuscarawas, Wendy June (Pete Norman) Miller of Dover, Gene Lebbeus (Anne) Wallick II of Strasburg, Rita Joan (Rick) Watson of New Philadelphia, Steven Gene (Brenda) Wallick of Beach City, and Adora Jina Wallick Engstrom of Lula, Georgia; her grandchildren, Shelly Polilli, Otto (Carla) Polilli III, Traci (Dave) Carlisle, Anne Chek, Trisha (Mike) Harding, Benjamin Cox, Chrissy Wallick, Rickie (Ashley) Watson Jr., Joshua (Kara) Wallick, Nikki (Chad) Stocker, Tonya (Jamie) Garmon, Jessica (Chad) Landis and Alex Linkous; her great-grandchildren, Brandon and Trevor Myers, Abigail Polilli, Otto Polilli IV, Andrew (Lacey Miller) Bethards, Colton Sterling, Aaron and Zane Chek, Blake (Angela) Polka, Kayla Polka, Brennen Mathias, Cooper, Cameron and Christopher Watson, Huston (Lexie Grove) Warner, Alexis Kimble, Kaden and Asher Garmon, Payne and Rylie Landis, Arlo Wallick and Paisley Stocker; her great-great-grandchildren, Ryker Polka, Ryder and Aurora Warner, Brynlee and Marybella Bethards, and James “J.D.” Conner; her step-children, Bonnie (Fred) Steinebrey, Allen (Marilyn) Andrews, Dean (Missy) Andrews and Gail (Chris) Vaughn; her many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Grewell; her sister-in-law, Leona Hennis; and her nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene L. Wallick Sr.; her second husband, Larry G. Welsch; her third husband, Dale A. Andrews; her sister, Esther McDade; her brother, John S. Hennis; and her sister-in-law, Norma Hawkins.
