Donna J. Walker

Donna J. Walker, 88, of Dover passed away at her home on Monday, May 10, 2021.

She was born on February 25, 1933 in Dover and was a daughter of the late Donald and Wilma Handrich Wendling. Donna was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Walker on July 29, 2006, and a brother, Donald “Sonny” Wendling.

She was an Executive Secretary for the President at Reeves Steel having retired after 43 years of service. Not one to sit still, Donna then worked for Cornerstone transcribing medical records at her home for many years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and TWIG. Donna loved music, and was first chair playing the violin in high school. In spare time, she enjoyed being with her family, taking care of her cats and doing crossword puzzles.

Donna will be missed by her children, Jeff Zimmerman of Dover, Wendy (Steve) Harrison of New Philadelphia; sister, Marilyn “Babe” (Ted) Valentine of Strasburg; grandchildren, Rachelle (Adam) Hughes, Taylor (Rayce) Smith, Seth Harrison; great grandchildren, Addison and Hannah Hughes; Ottilia, Oakley and Avery Smith; and her beloved cats, Tux, Jaz, Muffin and Patches.
