Donna Mae Hershberger, 65, of Strasburg, died Sunday, August 19, 2001 in Hennis Care Center at Dover following a long battle with cancer.
She was co-owner operator of the former Mel's Custom Butchering shop at Strasburg.
Born November 16, 1935 at Strasburg, she was daughter of the late Paul & Florence Bair Malcuit.
Donna was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg. She had also been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Strasburg, Bona Mater and Strasburg Mothers Club. An avid bowler, she also enjoyed crafts - specifically quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband Melvin ''Mel'' Hershberger, whom she wed on March 23, 1957.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a brother, Rollie Malcuit.
At Donna's request, there will be no public calling hours. A private, family committal service will be held in the Grandview Union Cemetery.
A public memorial service will be held Tuesday at 6:00pm in the St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg with Rev. Gerald Schuessler officiating.
