Dora Lee Couts

Dora Lee Couts, 71, of Strasburg, Ohio died Saturday, August 9, 2003 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. She was born in Massillon on August 13, 1931, the daughter of William and Beulah (Hartline) Penrod.

She was a member of the Bona Mater Club, Homemakers Club Chorus, Delphia Study Club, Strasburg American Legion Auxiliary, and the Strasburg United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Tuscarawas County YMCA where she was in the Twinges and Hinges Class. She was a member of the National Button Club and collector of buttons, angels, and antiques. She was a 1949 graduate of Beach City High School.

For many years, she worked part time at the Emma Huber Memorial Library at Strasburg.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Norman; children Linda and George Salsberry of Alliance, Aaron and Rita Couts of Bolivar, and Janet Couts of Columbus; a brother James and Wanda Penrod of Anoka, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Caleb and Kelsey Couts; a stepgranddaughter, Emily Salsberry of Kent and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the Strasburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Steven Court officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Tuesday from 3-7 pm and at the church Wednesday from 10-11 am.
