Doris Allen Dragovich, 92, of Dover died Saturday, June 19, 2010 in the Park Village Assisted Living Center.
She was born March 15, 1918 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Robert & Margaret Cochran Allen.
A 1936 graduate of Cleveland East High School, Doris went on to graduate from Ohio University in 1940. She then started on a career path in Dietetics, interning at Boston's Brigham & Women's Hospital, then working for seven years at St. Luke's Hospital in Cleveland where she taught nutrition and diet therapy.
From 1963-1981, Doris worked as a Dietician for Union Hospital. Following her retirement, she remained close with the hospital by serving as a volunteer, both delivering Mobile Meals, and by working at The Corner Shop.
She was an active member of Dover's First United Methodist Church. She served as a circle leader, past president of United Methodist Women, Sunday School teacher, Prayer Chain chairperson, and was involved was involved with the Outreach Committee. She was a "woman of service" who always out the needs of others ahead of her own. She was devoted to her family and God.
Doris married Joseph D. "Joe" Dragovich on November 9, 1946. The couple shared 47 years of marriage until his passing on December 18, 1993.
Surviving family members include: a son, Jim Dragovich of Trumansburg, NY; daughter, Dr. Susan Dragovich of Bend, OR; two grandchildren, Ksana & Heath Dragovich; and a brother-in-law, Milan "Mike" (Norma Jean)Borojevich of Uhrichsville.
Along with her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by abrother, Donald Allen, and sister, Martha Krieger.
Pastor Bruce McLaughlin will officiate a service that celebrates Doris' life on Thursday, June 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, Dover. Following the service, burial will take place in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m., and at the church, one hour prior to services on Thursday.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1725 N. Wooster Ave., Dover.
