Doris E. Stucky

Doris E. Stucky, 91, of New Philadelphia passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Community Hospice Truman House following an extended illness.

Born in Dover on October 21, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Guy R. and Christina (Yackey) Harding. She graduated from Dover High School in 1944. She later graduated from Massillon City Hospital School of nursing in 1948. She worked for Massillon City Hospital, Union Hospital, Dr. Rinderknecht, Dr. Martin and retired in 1988 from Dr. Van Epps Medical Association after 15 years of service.

She married Wilbert S. Stucky, who preceded her in death on July 8, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Warren, Clyde Donald, Raymond Gene Harding; sisters, Ruth Harding, Martha Harstine, June Specht; along with her son-in-law, Wayne Camburn.

She was a member of Crooked Run United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her sons: John L. Stucky, Mark (Lisa) Stucky; two daughters, Pam Camburn, Wanda (Rick) Seilhamer; seven grandchildren, Stephen (Tiffany) Camburn, Brittany Camburn, and Collin Camburn (Casey Luthy), Ashley (Quentin) Martin, and Jennifer (Matt) Burnheimer, Keary (Blake) Carl and Trisha Seilhamer; great-granddaughters, Hannah, Melody, and Evelyn Camburn; her sister, Mary (James) West; special cousins, Gary and Edna Smith; special friends, Robert Hodgson and Dan Rae and families, Judy and Charlie Kerr, Dale and Lynn Vogel, Randy and Tracey Stevens; along with many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place at Grandview Union Cemetery on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Shelly Nordine officiating. To sign an online guestbook for Doris, visit the obituary link on the funeral home’s website.
