Doris G. Espenschied

Doris G. Espenschied, 93, of Dover died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Union Hospital.

Born December 15, 1919 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Leo and Nellie Howell Soley. Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, Max E. Espenschied on October 1, 1990 and an infant son, Jerry Espenschied.

Doris was an active member of the Dover First Moravian Church, the Women's Fellowship and was a long time Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Pythian Sisters, White Shrine and the Dover American Legion Auxiliary.

Doris will be sadly missed by her children, Melanie Espenschied of Dover, Larene Francis of Sagamore Hills and Holly Espenschied of Hilliard; grandchildren, Jeff and Jerry Evans, Michelle Jackson and Wendi Callam; great grandchildren, Lexi, Juliette, Christy, Megan, Haley and Max and three great-great grandchildren, Penelope, Mila and Bay.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26 at 11:00 am in the Dover First Moravian Church with Pastor John Wallace officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the church one-hour prior to the services on Monday. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
