Doris J. Barber

Doris J. Barber, 85, of Strasburg died Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

Doris was born on January 23, 1934 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a retired seamstress who worked for many different companies throughout her career. She enjoyed reading, and was a talented artist who loved painting.

Doris is survived by her six children, Clarence Barber of Elyria, Sharon (Mark) Krosnick of Florida, Gary (Tinia) Barber, Sandy Barber (companion, Adrian Edie) both of Dover, Penny (Ted) Bachelder of Michigan, Carolyn Barber of Midvale; 26 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her son, James Barber and three brothers.

A service celebrating Doris’ life will be held on Saturday, October 19 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center, 831 Boulevard in Dover.
