Doris J. Kiser

Doris J. Kiser, 91, of New Philadelphia passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover.

Born in Grove City, PA on July 7, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Chris and Edna (Benedum) Bloom.

Doris was a Dennison High School graduate. On October 30, 1948, she married Kenneth K. Kiser, who preceded her in death on May 22, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her son; Craig Kiser; her daughter, Sue DeVecka; sisters, Jo Ann Henry and Edna Vierheller; and her granddaughter, Tonya Lynn Kiser.

She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia and a member of the Red Hat Society.

She leaves behind her children; David (Kathy) Kiser of New Philadelphia, Karen Ramsey of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Mark (Celia) Kiser of Texas; her brother, Chris “Buddy” (Linda) Bloom of New Philadelphia; along with eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory in Dover on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 10:00-11:00 am. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 11:00 on Friday will Pastor Jon Long officiating. Burial will follow at East Ave Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
