Doris Jean Beitzel

Doris Jean Beitzel, 81, of Strasburg died Sunday, March 13, 2016 in the Community Hospice House.

Born July 9, 1934 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Ethel Mae Kugler McClanahan. Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett "Dean" Beitzel on May 1, 2008.

She was a Secretary in the X-Ray Department at Union Hospital and also served as the Secretary at Strasburg United Methodist Church where she retired.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Carla (Roger) Cooper, Marsha (Rick) Clark both of Strasburg, Pamela (Zach) Hawthorne of New Philadelphia; brother, Leonard McClanahan of MN; sister, Janice Renner of Dover; grandchildren, Abby Cooper, Rick, Carly and Emma Clark.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 18 at 11:00 am in the Strasburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Jason Humble officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends can call at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
