Doris M. Stevens

Doris M. Stevens, 78, of Bolivar, Ohio and formerly of Canton died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 in the Hennis Care Center at Bolivar following a period of declining health.
Born Feb. 14, 1940 in Dover, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Mildred (Burkholder) Gibbs.

Doris was an outstanding baker and seamstress and loved working outdoors doing landscaping.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Jay Stevens who died June 15, 2018. In addition to her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Delores “Dee” Soule.

She will be sadly missed by her family including her two children, Edward J. Stevens of Navarre and Deborah (Charles) Clark of North Canton; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Stevens and Jesse Clark along with two sisters, Kathy Gordon of Strasburg and Linda (Ed) Harper of New Philadelphia and a brother, Edward (Charlotte) Gibbs of New Philadelphia.
