Dorothy Ann Oliver, 40, of Dover, passed away Friday, December 10, 2004 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
She was a nine-year employee of Wal Mart at New Philadelphia where she was head of Customer Service Management. She enjoyed her work and truly cared for all of the co-workers that she had become close with over the years.
Born April 18, 1964 at Gastonia, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Delores Persiani, who currently resides in Dillonville, Ohio.
Dorothy was a loving wife and mother who cherished spending time with her family. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Oliver, whom she wed on March 7, 2003.
Other survivors include: two sons, George of Midvale and Geoffrey of the home; three step-children, Katlyn, Kurtis and Kasadie of the home; two sisters, Joyce (Tim) Marchbank of Dillonville and Hannah Patterson of Martins Ferry; a brother Kenneth (Kelly) Patterson of Dillonville; mother-in-law, Karen Levengood; father-in-law, David (Lisa) Oliver; brother-in-law, Tim (Frances) Oliver and sister-in-law, Tonya (Anthony) Bingham, all of Mineral City.
She is also survived by her closest friend, Rhonda Rennie of Bolivar.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be conducted Wednesday, December 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. Jon Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-3 & 7-9 p.m.
