Dorothy D. Schilling, 88, of Park Village Assisted Living and formerly of Beach City, Ohio died Friday, August 4, 2006.
She was born August 12, 1917 in Dover, the daughter of the late Adam and Bertha (Reese) Graef.
Dorothy was a member of the St. Therese Catholic Church in Brewster. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. She was a 1935 graduate of Dundee High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis J. Schilling whom she married June 10, 1941. He died October 10, 2004 after 63 years of marriage. She was also preceded by a son, Bruce Schilling, a brother, Harold Graef and a sister, Mildred Dawson.
Dorothy is survived by three sons, Ted Schilling of Sugarcreek and Janice of Baltic, Norman (Renee) Schilling of Baltic, Roy (Barb) Schilling of Sugarcreek; two daughters, Elaine (Roger) Shelt of Strasburg and Rita (Larry) Haney of Uhrichsville; a sister, Alice Zurcher of Brewster, two sisters in law, Florence Trustdorf of Woodland Park, Colorado, and Donna Schilling of Dover along with eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 10, 2006 at 1:30 pm in St. Joseph�(TM)s Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday from 2-5 pm.
