Dorothy J. Janson, 88, of Dover passed away at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. 

Born in New Washington, Ohio on May 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Adolph “Duffy” and Mary (Walterhouse) Aschbacher. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother, Robert Aschbacher. 

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Robert Janson, whom she married in May of 1979. She also leaves behind her children; Shari (David) George of New Philadelphia, Rebecca (David) Graff of New Philadelphia, and Michael (Lori) Finley of New Philadelphia; her brother, James (Lynn) Aschbacher; and her grandchildren, Tiffini Gaskill, Adam Bair, Brandon Bair, Ryan Bair, and Olivia Finley; along with many great-grandchildren. 

In honoring her wishes, a graveside service will be held at Grandview Union Cemetery on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 12:15 p.m. with Pastor David Wing officiating.
