Dorothy M. "Mary" Nichols

Dorothy M. "Mary" Nichols, 93, of Dover died Friday, November 20, 2015 in the Park Village Health Care Center.

Born July 26, 1922 in Wales, England she was a daughter of the late John and Lydia Brickwood. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Nichols on March 25, 2011; sister, Phyllis Williams and brothers, John, Doug, Bob, Sam and George Brickwood.

She retired as a Supervisor from GTE in Dover after more than 30 years of service.

Mary was an avid gardener, especially taking care of her flowers. She also enjoyed needlepoint, quilting and was a great cook and baker. But most importantly, she was dedicated to her daughter and grandchildren and loved spending the majority of her time with them.

Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter, Angela (Tom) Glass of New Philadelphia; granddaughters, Denise (Kyle) Dalcoma, Wendy Gibbs; great grandsons, Neil and Charlie Gibbs and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 23 at 11:00 am in the Dover Burial Park. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
