Dorothy M. Mccartney

Dorothy Mae Robb McCartney, 79, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2007 in the Schoenbrunn Health Care Center at New Philadelphia.

Born September 18, 1927 in New Philadelphia, and graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1945.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George McCartney Sr.; parents, Wilbur and Mary Robb; brothers, Billy and James Robb.

She is survived by a brother, Thomas; three children, Michael (wife Frankie), James (wife Dianna) and Richard; five grandchildren, Andrew, Laura, Michelle, Eric and Aaron; three great grandchildren; Cassidy, Maggie and Brinkley.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 10:30 am in the Evergreen Burial Park. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at New Philadelphia are handling arrangements. Very shortly before passing she said of her life, “My life was like a whirlwind…like the wind blows.”
