Dortha C. Trachsel

Dortha C. Trachsel, 73, of Dover passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the New Dawn Retirement Center.

Born on July 4, 1948 in Dover she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Nellie Smith Fisher. Dortha is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gary L. Trachsel whom she married on June 10, 1966; children, Sherry Elifritz of Dover, Tom W. (Raquel) Trachsel of Bolivar, Duane (Brenda) Trachsel of Florida, Kevin (Christina) Trachsel of Mineral City; brother, Ted (Melody) Fisher of Dover; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Dortha was a member of the Tuscarawas County Coin and Stamp Club. She loved going to auctions, and in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing and baking cookies.

A service celebrating Dortha’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd starting at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. David Wing officiating. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
