Doyle William Frautschy

A lifelong resident of Dover, Ohio, at the age of 76, passed away on May 30, 2013. He was the son of F. William and D. Helen Frautschy. Doyle was a 1955 graduate of Dover High School. He was married 53 years to Elizabeth (Beitzel) Frautschy, with whom he had a family of three children, Douglas D. Frautschy, Dawn E. Frautschy, and Derek W. Frautschy. Doyle served in the Army for 2 years, then came back to Dover, Ohio to make a home. He was a skilled mechanic and worked at Weigand's in Dover and Young Truck Sales in Canton for many years. In 1986, he led a team from Young Truck Sales that won a nationwide Volvo-White truck service competition. Doyle was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in his early forties but he never surrendered to the disease and was always willing to help everyone with advice on repairs, equipment, and life in general. There was always a welcoming smile for everyone who came through his door. He was a lifelong member of the Dover and Dennison Foursquare Gospel Churches and looked forward to the day when he would be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betsy); his children Douglas (wife, Kyla), Dawn, and Derek; his grandchildren, Naomi, Nathan, Katelyn, and Will; his sisters, June & Mary Ann Frautschy and Ruth Swisshelm; and a nephew, Bryan Swisshelm.

A celebration of Doyle's life will be held at Four Square Gospel Church in Dover on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Rodney Phillips, Pastor Ron May, and Pastor Jim Hamilton officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served in the church fellowship hall. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 4-7 pm.
