Dwight H. Boor

Dwight H. Boor, 75, of New Philadelphia passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 16, 2022.

Born in Dover on January 31, 1946, he was the son of the late Howard S. and Hazel (Winters) Boor. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dan Boor.

He graduated from New Philadelphia High School with the class of 1964 and honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Dwight worked for Joy Manufacturing for 18 years and retired in 2011 from L.J. Smith of Bowerston.

Dwight was very well known for restoring corvettes and his extensive toy car collection.

He leaves behind his wife, Jeri (Mathison) whom he married on July 10, 1992. He will also be sadly missed by his son; Nicholas (Chelsea) Boor of Scottsdale, Arizona; step-daughter, Megan (Chris) Green of Massillon; his granddaughters, Bella Hiemer, Blake, and Hazel Boor; along with his step-granddaughter, Lily Green.
