E. Idell Teynor

E. Idell Teynor, 79, of Dover, Ohio died Thursday, March 29, 2001 in her home following a brief illness.

She had previously been employed at Beech Aircraft and Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas. She was also a former telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. She had been a secretary for the Urban Renewal Office at Dover and worked in the library and was a study hall aide at Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School.

Born August 18, 1921 in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Daisy Laughlin Rackham. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Ralph Blackburn; a daughter, Terry Doutt; two sisters, Georgia Rackham and Vera Jane Rackham; three brothers, John (Jack) Rackham, Robert (Bob) Rackham, and Ralph L. Blackburn, Jr.

Idell was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover and a Women�(TM)s Study Group in the church. She befriended many students as a mentor. Her vocation was a supporter of her husband, the late Coach Art Teynor and he often referred to her as his “ wife and Asst. Coach” She assisted her husband with his work in the Tuscarawas Democatic Party was a longtime precinct worker at the election polls.

Her husband Lawrence C. (Art) Teynor died November 15, 1995. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Teynor of Dover and her son, Tim (Terri) Teynor of Canton. Four grandchildren Christopher (Jennifer) Doutt of Canton, Becky (Mike) Stiller of Dover, Martin and Patrick Teynor both of Canton. Four great grandchildren Shelby Doutt, Shane Stiller, Shaylin and Sydney Doutt along with a sister, Gwen Louise Blackburn Bowman of Kansas City, Missouri and a brother, Kenneth Blackburn of Phoenix, Arizona.

A Rite of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 2, 2001 at 11:00 AM in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-5 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Christian Wake Services at 4:30 pm.
