E. Jean Hufnagle

E. Jean Hufnagle, 84, of the Hennis Care Centre and formerly of New Philadelphia and Barnesville died Sunday, February 17, 2002 following an extended illness.

Born February 18, 1917 in Wheeling, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Minnie Pearl Johnson Wyandt.

Jean was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church in Barnesville and enjoyed quilting.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman W. Ball and her second husband, Raymond Hufnagle.

She is survived by her daughter Norma Jean Shumaker of Barnesville; daughter in law Shirley Ball of Somerdale; one sister, Sally Stark of Defiance; one brother, James Wyandt of Columbus; sister in law, Marie Wyandt of Orrville; a special friend, Donna Miller of Somerdale; along with ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, five step grandchildren, fourteen step great grandchildren, and two step great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Herman (Bud) Ball, one sister, Eleanor Marcin, one brother, Jerry Wyandt, one grandson, Corey Ball, one great grandson, Brandon Scott Shumaker, and one step granddaughter, Brenda Sears.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2002 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Peter Price officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Henrysburg, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from noon until 1 pm.
