Earl H. Dummermuth, 73, of New Philadelphia, Ohio died Tuesday, March 4, 2003 in his home following an extended illness.
Earl retired in 1993 as superintendent of the Greer Steel Company at Dover where he worked for over 30 years.
Born October 18, 1929 in Dover, he was the son of the late Henry and Mildred Harmon Dummermuth. He was a member of the Jerusalem Church in New Philadelphia.
He was a 1948 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. He also served in the US army during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Dover VFW, life member of the American Legion,40 et 8, Tuscarawas Chapter of the Masonic Lodge at Dover,Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, Tadmor Shrine, and the New Philadelphia Elks Lodge. He enjoyed golfing and traveling.
Earl is survived by his wife Faye Beaber Dummermuth with whom he would have celebrated 3 years of marriage on April 28.
He is also survived by three sons Steven Dummermuth of Randle, Washington, Jeff Dummermuth of Columbus, Ohio and Greg Dummermuth of Dover; one daughter, Cathy (Rick) Pollock of Galion, Ohio and numerous grandchildren and step grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 8. 2003 at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Dr. Terry Downin officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Dover where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5-9 pm where Masonic services will be held at 8 pm.
