Earl R. Lengler

Earl R. Lengler, 79 of Garber Dr. NW, Strasburg, died Sunday, January 13, 2002 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

He worked as a carpenter in local union 69 and retired in 1975.

Born February 16, 1922, he was son of the late William & Emma Knodel Lengler.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg who served in the Air Force during World War II. Earl was an avid golfer.

On December 23, 1948 he wed the former Betty Garber, who survives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 16, at 11:00am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Strasburg with Pastor Fred Grosse officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
