Earl W. Espenschied, 80, of Oak Grove Village, Trenton, Florida, formerly of Dover, died January 28, 2001, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Mineral City on May 20, 1920, the son of the late William & Goldie Rummell Espenschied.
Earl retired in 1979 as a heavy equipment operator.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Dover VFW & Eagles clubs. He enjoyed woodworking and farming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Shaklee Espenschied who died September 4, 1960, his second wife, Ruth Bland Espenschied, one sister and one great grandchild.

A public graveside service will be held Friday, February 2, at 11:00am in Dover Burial Park with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. The Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Thursday from 6-8pm.
